The University holds many accreditations for its programmes; some of the accreditations are for Faculties and some for specific programs. Accreditation speaks to the quality of the institution, and when parents and students choose a university, they should pay close attention to whether the university is regionally accredited or not.
Accreditation in higher education provides quality assurance and ensures institutional program improvement. The Ministry of Human Development and Public Services, Directorate of Education, Culture and Higher Education has accredited Somali International University. In addition, the University obtained specialized accreditations and approvals for our core program offerings from the Health Directorate of the same ministry Services for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and its hospital.
