Welcome to SIU Medical Lab. Our Medical Lab provides to facilitate student's clinical learning in the laboratory. It provides a safe and realistic environment for students to practice, experiment, make mistakes, and learn. It facilitates the opportunity for students to recognize gaps in their knowledge and experience and to identify their own learning needs. The Medical laboratory is very large furnished by adequate and appropriate shelves, long tables with drawers, lab-stools, and portable white board. It also contains staining equipment, biochemistry machine, ELIZA reader and ELIZA washer, Electrolyte analyzer, Coagulometer, suitable and sufficient number of Microscope, Autoclave and Incubator and all necessary basic equipment. This Lab uses Practical courses of all routine laboratory investigations like clinical chemistry, preparing bacterial culture, Hematology, Microbiology, Parasitology, Histopathology and Immunohematology.

The Law Lab at SIU offers students a chance to do practical skills building in legal issues. The exposure to a variety of legal cases provides students with an invaluable foundation, helping them discover their strengths and refine their skills. As they gain practical experience, students are better equipped to choose a specialization based on their interests and the areas they feel most passionate about. The mock training aspect also offers a safe space to experiment with different legal strategies and approaches, which is essential for building a versatile skill set. This approach allows students to be not only knowledgeable but also adaptable, which is crucial in the ever-changing legal field.

Welcome to SIU nursing and midwifery Lab. Our Lab's purpose of the clinical skills lab is to facilitate student's clinical learning in nursing and midwifery. It provides a safe and realistic environment for students to practice, experiment, make mistakes, and learn. It facilitates the opportunity for students to recognize gaps in their knowledge and experience and to identify their own learning needs. Simulation education is a bridge between classroom learning and real-life clinical experience. It offers a scheduled, valuable learning experience that may be difficult to obtain while on clinical placement. The safe environment accommodates training of a clinical skill, cognitive thinking and behavioral communication. Simulation can facilitate a range of learners from novices to experts. Simulation can also be used as an evaluation tool in the form of Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCE).

Somali International University Anatomy Lab includes Anatomy Models and Human Dissection Room. Here at SIU we have a variety of anatomical models helping our students to learn Anatomy and include; Models of bones and joints, muscle models, human spine models, vertebrae models, skull models, torso models, brain models, dental models and models of heart, circulatory systems, digestive and urinary systems, breast models and pregnancy models. Human anatomy models are great teaching and learning properties. SIU uses these models for providing a better and clear vision to students about the complexities of human anatomy. The human anatomy model makes anatomy easy for students and to understand the complex functioning of the human body parts. Here at the SIU we have cadavers with the main instruments essential for the dissection: blunt-pointed scissors, a scalpel, forceps (rat-tooth and non-rat-tooth), and a metal probe. The dissection laboratory of SIU delivers an environment in which the minds of touch and sight can be used to improve students' understanding of the human anatomy of the body.

Welcome to SIU Engineering Lab. Our engineering laboratory provides students with access to tools and resources they need to create and experiment with ideas and innovations to better enhance their educational experience. We also offer opportunities for a selective group of highly efficient students to experience rigorous and challenging level course work. Engineering principles learnt different levels are enhanced by exposure to practical sessions supported by hands-on laboratory work; this is undertaken in the fully equipped laboratories for analogue and digital electronics, communication engineering, power systems, engineering equipment, engineering workshops as well as material and testing.

Welcome to SIU Agricultural Lab. Our Agricultural Lab enables our students to have an environment to practice, learn and make discoveries on agricultural products. We believe in giving our students the experience of learning beyond classrooms by accessing the machines and materials found in our agricultural lab. Plant Protection Machines are available in our lab for our students to practice on the different ways to protect our plants, hence preserving our environment. Farm machinery is also available in the lab for multiple uses. Our students can also access and use the soil testing machines in the lab to analyze the different types of soil and how they can be effectively utilized.

Welcome to SIU Library. Our library is home to more 20,000 textbooks, a collection of periodicals, documents and databases. SIU Library also accommodates thousands more of online resources ranging from every topic. Our students can access more than 50,000 online books available within the computers and facilities in our library. Our students can also access a wide range of books customized to their respective faculties. Our experienced librarians will offer you guidelines and support throughout your studies and visit SIU Library.

Welcome to SIU Computer Lab. Our lab is a well-equipped workspace that offers SIU students more than 50 computer workplaces (with 19″ displays, i3 processors and 4GB of RAM), microelectronics, internet, computer systems, nanotechnology and a private Training Lab as well as a wide range of cutting-edge software programs. All students are welcome to use any available facilities to study. The Computer Labs provide innovative technologies and services that attract, inspire and support current and future SIU students as they pursue their academic and personal goals. Additionally, the labs offer a wide range of services and resources that support innovation, creative cross-discipline endeavors and academic development.

The SIU University Mosque serves as a spiritual center for our diverse Muslim community. Our mosque provides a peaceful sanctuary for daily prayers, Friday congregational prayers, and Islamic educational programs. The mosque features beautiful Islamic architecture with modern amenities to accommodate our growing student and faculty population. The mosque is open 24/7 for prayers and spiritual reflection. We host regular Islamic lectures, Quran study circles, and interfaith dialogue sessions. During Ramadan, the mosque becomes a hub for community iftars and special Tarawih prayers. The facility includes separate prayer areas for men and women, ablution facilities, and a dedicated space for Islamic education and community gatherings.
