The Faculty of Education offers academic programmes that respond directly to Somalia's need for qualified science and mathematics educators: the Bachelor of Biology and Chemistry and the Bachelor of Mathematics and Physics. The programmes combine strong theoretical foundations in the sciences with pedagogical training, supervised teaching practice, and laboratory work, preparing graduates who understand both the principles of their scientific disciplines and the practical realities of teaching in Somali schools.
Our Faculty team consists of dedicated academics and educators who deliver rigorous education grounded in both scientific inquiry and classroom pedagogy. Students are encouraged to think critically, engage in scientific inquiry, and participate in laboratory research, micro-teaching, and school internship, and the Faculty collaborates with schools, ministries of education, and academic partners to provide practical training and employment opportunities for its graduates.
