The Faculty of Medicine and Surgery offers the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme, responding directly to Somalia's urgent need for qualified physicians. The MBBS programme combines a strong foundation in basic and clinical sciences with extensive supervised clinical clerkship, preparing graduates who understand both the science of medicine and the specific health challenges facing Somali patients and communities.
Teaching is delivered by dedicated academics and practising clinicians who work diligently to deliver rigorous medical education grounded in the realities of healthcare delivery in Somalia and the wider Horn of Africa. Students are encouraged to think critically, engage with real clinical cases, and participate in laboratory work, clinical-skills training, and hospital-based clerkship, supported by collaboration with hospitals and health authorities.

We work diligently to provide a supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically, engage with real clinical cases, and participate in laboratory work, clinical-skills training, and hospital-based clerkship. We also seek to collaborate with hospitals and health authorities to provide practical clinical training and career opportunities for our graduates.
