Medical Lab

Welcome to SIU Medical Lab. Our Medical Lab provides to facilitate student’s clinical learning in the laboratory. It provides a safe and realistic environment for students to practice, experiment, make mistakes, and learn. It facilitates the opportunity for students to recognize gaps in their knowledge and experience and to identify their own learning needs.

The Medical laboratory is very large furnished by adequate and appropriate shelves, long tables with drawers, lab-stools, and portable white board. It also contains staining equipment, biochemistry machine, ELIZA reader and ELIZA washer, Electrolyte analyzer, Coagulometer, suitable and sufficient number of Microscope, Autoclave and Incubator and all necessary basic equipment. This Lab uses Practical courses of all routine laboratory investigations like clinical chemistry, preparing bacterial culture, Hematology, Microbiology, Parasitology, Histopathology and Immunohematology.
